Meet Mona & Rondalyn
For Mona and her daughter, home is much more than walls and a roof- it's peace of mind, happiness and the chance to bring family together. As a future first time homeowner, Mona is looking forward to the opportunities a new home brings. A new home will allow Mona's daughter, Rondalyn, to proudly host her first sleepover without worrying her friends will feel uncomfortable.
Mona and Rondalyn are currently living in unsafe conditions and are in need of a safe home. Their current house has sinking floors, a leaky roof, broken windows, unsafe electrical wiring, mold, no central heat and little to no insulation. A Habitat home will provide Mona and her daughter a safe, energy efficient place to call home.
Publix Super Markets Charities has generously sponsored Mona's home and allowed HFHBC to build 3 homes in the 2016-2017 fiscal year.
Mona has completed over 276 of her sweat equity hours and shared, "I never knew how strong I was until I started." She is known for sharing inspirational Bible verses the most notable being "I can do all things through God who strengthens me."
