Tacisha & Family

Overcrowding Is Fun at a Party, But Not in a Home

"I came to Habitat because this was my last chance. I had given up after hearing the word "no" said so many times." -Tacisha. Tacisha is looking forward to providing space and privacy for her children. Her daughter, Ja' Teema, is currently in college and hopes to go into the medical field. Da'Jhvon, the older brother, plans to serve his country by joining the United States Airforce. Jordan, the youngest, plans to be an entrepreneur. This busy family of four are currently living with three other family members.

Tacisha first applied for Habitat's homeownership program in September 2016 but was barely able to qualify. With the help of Trident United Way, Tacisha became a Tier One family, allowing her to receive the education and guidance to become qualified. Tacisha was officially accepted into the Habitat program in July 2017!
