Through Berkeley Habitat’s Homeownership Program, she is now able to move into a safe, accessible home where each child will have their own space and the family can live more comfortably. Her story highlights the power of love, resilience, and the transformative impact of affordable housing.

Habitat homes are built primarily by volunteers. Whether you are a contractor, a DIYer, or have never picked up a hammer in your life, we need your help. Habitat brings families, community partners and volunteers together to construct affordable, energy-efficient homes that help families build stability, strength and self-reliance. Depending on how far along we are with our home builds, construction site volunteers can expect to help with framing, laying the floor system, roofing, painting, landscaping, etc.
