Meet the future homeowners of

215 Hutchinson Lane

Jahmoni is a devoted mother of three children with special needs, serving as their sole caregiver while facing the challenges of limited space in a non-accessible rental home. Through Berkeley Habitat’s Homeownership Program, she is now able to move into a safe, accessible home where each child will have their own space and the family can live more comfortably. Her story highlights the power of love, resilience, and the transformative impact of affordable housing.

Ways to Give

Accessibility is the key to freedom in the Brown family, and that means an ADA Compliant Shower for Jahmoni's two sons. We are looking to raise $5,000 by October 1st and need your help. To give, visit the link below and apply your donation to "ADA Roll-In Shower."

Make a Monetary Contribution

Looking to make a tangible contribution? The construction of a new home has a lot of expenses - from wood and siding, to light fixtures and appliances. Shop Jahmoni's registry and purchase a gift for her new Habitat home.

Volunteer with Us

As a volunteer, you will learn new skills, meet new friends, and make a big impact in the life of a family.

Habitat homes are built primarily by volunteers. Whether you are a contractor, a DIYer, or have never picked up a hammer in your life, we need your help. Habitat brings families, community partners and volunteers together to construct affordable, energy-efficient homes that help families build stability, strength and self-reliance. Depending on how far along we are with our home builds, construction site volunteers can expect to help with framing, laying the floor system, roofing, painting, landscaping, etc.
