Playhouse Project 2025

Habitat for Humanity of Berkeley County • December 7, 2025

The 5th Annual Playhouse Project took place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Lowe’s Distribution Center on Daniel Island. In continued partnership with Lowe’s Home Improvement, Berkeley Habitat, together with fellow local affiliates, once again joined forces to build and deliver custom playhouses for children across the tri-county community.

We remain deeply appreciative of Lowe’s for their dedication and preparation leading up to this year’s event, and we extend a special thank-you to the Lowe’s Heroes who volunteered onsite, lending their energy, skill, and enthusiasm to support every team throughout the day. Their commitment helped make this year’s project our most impactful yet.

The Gift of Play in time for the Holidays

Thanks to the generosity of this year’s sponsors and volunteers, nine families in Berkeley County were able to experience the joy of both play and the promise of homeownership this holiday season. Each playhouse built represents not just a gift for a child, but a meaningful contribution to our mission of creating safe, stable, and affordable housing for hardworking families in our community.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our 2025 playhouse sponsors:

  • Landmark Construction
  • Eastwood Homes
  • Voya Financial
  • Terracon / Evans General Contractors / SeamonWhiteside
  • Knights Companies
  • Coastal Community Foundation
  • Kion
  • Peace Church

By sponsoring a playhouse, these partners provided far more than a “small” home for a child—they helped pave the way for the “big” homes that will transform lives across Berkeley County. Their commitment, along with the dedication of our volunteers who gave their time and talent on build day, made this year’s Playhouse Project one of our most impactful yet. Congrats to the Terracon+EGC+SeamonWhiteside house on winning first place!

At Berkeley Habitat, our mission to create safe, affordable housing wouldn't be possible without the unwavering support of our community. One standout partner who has been with us every step of the way is the First Presbyterian Church of Moncks Corner.
