Unlocking Homeownership: Realtors® Housing Opportunities Fund & Coastal Community Foundation

Habitat for Humanity of Berkeley County • July 30, 2025

The Realtors® Housing Opportunities Fund (RHOF) — an endowed initiative created in 2003 by the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors® and administered by the Coastal Community Foundation — has empowered affordable housing organizations across Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties. RHOF has distributed over $1 million in grants, typically ranging from $3,500 to $5,000 per award.


Palmetto Life has become a visible partner in raising awareness for RHOF and amplifying its impact—most recently in a video feature (dated July 30, 2025) spotlighting the partnership between RHOF and CCF on Palmetto Life’s site, helping inform viewers how charitable contributions directly support affordable housing efforts.


Projects like Hutchinson Lane stand as physical proof of what collaborative philanthropy can accomplish: resilient neighborhoods, a stronger nonprofit ecosystem, and permanent affordable homeownership. Through the strong support of CCF on Hutchinson Lane, we've seen first hand the difference that partnerships and grants like this one can make on the lives of the people around us.
